I am a watercolor artist that incorporates an interest in rural buildings, particularly barns, with trees, branches and other items in nature.
Providing a more abstract background of blocks of color provides a new twist on a traditional painting. My husband and I live in Northwood and have two married children and three precious grandchildren. I am a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa where I majored in education and have a minor in art. After retiring from 40 years of elementary teaching, I am using my free time to continue my passion of watercolor painting. I enjoy taking watercolor classes and continue in my quest to learning new techniques. One of my favorite classes was taken at the Peninsula Art School in Door County, Wisconsin. It is my hope that you enjoy the paintings as much as I do producing them!
